Vicki Harmer, Long Reach Nutrition, Fertility and Women's Health Nutritional Therapy

Hello my name is Vicki and this is why I became a Nutritional Therapist

Health and wellness have always been my passion, but after 5 years of fertility struggles, I discovered Nutritional Therapy. I experienced how powerful food impacts our bodies in ways I never imagined. Thinking I ate healthily, I soon realized that's not always the case.

On our 6th IVF attempt, the first after seeing a nutritional therapist, we had our beautiful daughter. I knew then I wanted to help others, too.

I made a career change from a City PA to study at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION), completing an intensive 3-year Nutritional Therapy Diploma. I then further trained for 12 months with the Fertility Nutrition Centre.

As research evolves, so does health advice. It can be confusing when something marketed as healthy is actually unhealthy. As a registered nutritional therapist and certified fertility practitioner, I stay updated through industry events and courses to provide clients with the best guidance for their health concerns.

I've supported an array of clients with various and complex health concerns and would love to help you too. I guarantee you my wholehearted commitment.

What my clients are saying

I can't express enough gratitude and thanks for the amazing support I received from Vicki before starting my IVF journey. Her deep knowledge of nutrition's role in fertility was impressive, and being an older mother, I had to do whatever I could to ensure my IVF was successful. I had no idea how much of an impact nutrition could have on fertility. Vicki's guidance was personalised and incredibly helpful in preparing me. What stood out the most was how compassionate her approach was and the emotional support she provided. I wholeheartedly recommend Vicki to anyone seeking expert guidance in their fertility nutrition journey.

We just wanted to say a big thank you for the last few months. It’s been lovely working with you on this journey. We have felt safe being able to share such personal details with you while we work on ourselves and have felt comfortable and confident about everything throughout. From day one, it felt like we’d known you forever! Which made this experience easier! Thanks again for everything.

You were always there for me and your help has definitely exceeded my expectations. It has been an experience in itself learning so much more about my body, and I shall be forever grateful.

Before I went to see Vicki I was struggling with bloating and low energy levels. Vicki was really easy to talk to and to be completely open with. She gave me very honest, non-judgemental advice and suggestions and sent me some really delicious recipes. I always came away from the sessions feeling very positive and motivated to try the suggestions thanks to Vicki's encouragement. After the sessions, I rarely struggle with bloating and have so much more energy. Thank you!

After many years of my son suffering with eczema and thinking I'd tried everything, I decided to research into how diet and gut health could be a factor. I wanted to find someone local so I could see someone face to face and my goodness how glad am I that I did - the ironic thing is that we ended up having all consultations online for one reason or another on my part but that hasn't made any difference to the outcome. I could never have expected to find someone as knowledgeable, committed, thorough and above all, friendly as Vicki. I would recommend her to absolutely anyone who is suffering in any way. I am so glad and happy we found you Vicki, thank you for everything you have done and are doing for our son. I feel so grateful.

Was thinking about you and Ollie's skin this morning and I just wanted to say you are honestly the best thing I've ever done for him so thank you! Honestly, after all the failed 'remedies', creams, countless hours of research and feeling so lost and like I couldn't help my own child to finding you! I am so so grateful...it's still a journey but how far we've come is amazing...and skin isn't even what you specialise in!

Around two years ago I had my gallbladder removed and was advised by the nhs to eat a low fat diet for a few weeks and then return to my normal food. Since then I had suffered with constant diarrhoea and stomach aches. After further tests I was told I have a fatty liver. Again I was just told to watch what I eat and that no medication was available to help. I decided to take matters into my own hands and made an appointment with Vicki. Vicki took the time to listen to my back story and asked me to complete a food diary. She went on to explain ways I could look to reverse my liver damage with supplements to support my missing gallbladder and better food choices including a variety of recipes. I was sent away with all the information I needed and must say I have never felt better. I can’t say it’s been easy but when I struggled a quick catch up with Vicki gave me further motivation. I can’t recommend her services enough.
